I've been rejoicing in this painting because it is leading the way for me to reimagine how my world is going to be.
I knew the polarization of our country was going to be tough to deal with, but honestly I didn't envision this particular iteration.
I guess I should have known, no matter how it parsed out, that I would find my path to be through art. And I should have known that in addition to sharing what I feel I do best, I would be saving my own life.
It's not just "Making the World a Better Place!" It's "Making My World a Better Place!"
So, for the first time I am putting up for auction a piece I already posted on social media. Because honestly the whole experience of painting this alongside some fabulous folks I met through teaching at Sage Lodge, was amazing. Staying there several more hours to finish, and basically just really doing my utmost best is always the solution.
We shared so much that felt so transcendent. We spoke of issues not politics. And with any luck I will meet them again one day when I travel to Florida to fulfill a long held dream to become a certified scuba diver! (don't we all love wonderment?)
Definitely, a place to start.
