Daylillies, Hollyhocks, and Primrose

One of my favorite jobs was working at Blake Nursery. I love to go back to visit and garner further information from Sandi, a sage in this department, and paint. All these years later (maybe 35), I am still overwhelmed by the beauty and serenity that exudes from her beloved plants and plantings.

This summer I have been designing my own flowerbeds. Actually, "garden" seems like a better word lately for the beautiful place outside my house.

I love to return to my roots at Blake's and feel the sustainable affinity for native plants and pollinators that continues to thrive in this place.
