Montana is a land of wild temperature fluctuations, but the last few days have been extreme even for here. Eighty degree swing in 48 hours.
Last week, we had some of the coldest temperatures we ever see around here and today it is fifty degrees.
For a plein air painter who likes to get out and paint in my car in the winter, this temperature is a godsend. I could have the windows rolled down the entire time.
It is a rare opportunity to be in this beautiful pristine winter environment and not be cold at all.
