Plein air painting, even from your car, in subzero temperatures requires not venturing too far afield.
Livingston's Main Street had snow still sticking on some of the awnings because it was just too cold to fall off. It is interesting to me to see how color is perceived differently when all the water in the air has turned to steam and risen into clouds.
Knowing the people inside these businesses colors my vision as well. Most everyone was home staying warm, unlike this crazy artist parked with her car running and the heater and radio keeping her on task.
