I have been doing watercolors of the river but went back to oils for this one. Tomorrow my neighbor and I are doing reconnaissance for our Overnight River Trip August 10-13. We still have some openings but have decided to cut it off on the 1st.

There is a thing that happens whenever you spend time on the river. Troubles seem to melt away. It's why people love to fish.
For those of us who chose to enjoy the experience differently there is Katie at Meadowlark. She has several interesting floating options. For this one, I will share what I know about painting plein air watercolors and you will also have time to explore and read or bask in the sun.
The river is the best teacher and balm for our spirits. The coolest thing about this trip is the opportunity to spent time absorbing the atmosphere of "river life".
