When I first moved into my house 30 years ago, my lovely white haired neighbor came over and said, "Whatever you do here, be sure to take care of these sweet peas! They are heritage flowers and have been here longer than any of us! They don't need much care... just don't disturb them too much."
I needed to put a fence in for my dogs, so it doubled as a trellis.
Throughout these years, they have been a constant note of cheerful beauty. A reminder of that absolutely irrevocable fact that whatever we might be dealing with, these bright spirits of joy will be there. Whether it's to commiserate and uplift or engage and share, I couldn't have asked for a better companion...
Thank you, Sweet Peas!!!!
